The Stepping Stone Foundation returned to theMississippi gulf coast recently. The organization has been to the region 32 times since hurricane Katrina devastated over a hundred miles of shoreline. Since the storm, this area has also been dealing with economic hardships resulting from the oil spill in the gulf last year. Many residents continue to live in third world conditions, and have made temporary shelters their permanent homes. The Stepping Stone continues to support the Lakeshore Baptist church in Lakeshore Mississippi, where over four hundred persons a month receive assistance. www.rebuildlakeshore.com The Stepping Stone Foundation delivered a thousand loaves of bread, Christmas toys, and donated shoes, clothes and household items.
Over the past year members of The Stepping Stone Foundation have responded to Alabama after the tornadoes this past spring, and upstate New York after hurricane Irene past through this summer, in addition to the gulf coast.
Members of the Stepping Stone Foundation, would like to thank all those who have supported their efforts over the past six years with their donations.
